Deck Crafter's Collection: card list, price and is it worth it

The Pokémon TCG Deck Crafter's Collection hits US stores this Friday, October 23, 2026, for US$ 9.99. Is it worth buying? The box holds 40 cards — a foil Meowth ex and 39 Trainers that show up in almost every competitive deck, such as 4 Lillie's Determination and 4 Boss's Orders — and, at this week's market prices, the same cards bought as singles add up to about US$ 13.56. Below: the full list, what each piece costs and who the box makes sense for.

What is the Deck Crafter's Collection

It is a product to build or upgrade a 60-card deck, not a ready-to-play deck. The Pokémon Company announced on October 1, 2026, in its official list of the month's releases, that the box contains:

  • 1 foil Meowth ex card
  • 39 Trainer cards (Supporter, Item and Pokémon Tool)
  • 1 Deck Crafter's Guide
  • 9 labeled dividers
  • 1 booster pack

The official site calls the cards "tournament-ready," meaning usable from casual games to Championship Series events. The page gives neither the price nor the card list. The suggested price of US$ 9.99 and the Pokémon TCG Live code card appear in the retail sheet reproduced by PocketMonsters.net; the master case holds 12 units for US$ 119.88. Wargamer describes the product as a cheaper successor to the old Trainer's Toolkits.

Which cards are in the box?

The full list, identical across three independent sites (Pokedex Challenge, Coded Yellow and MarketCG):

  • 1 Meowth ex
  • 4 Boss's Orders, with the Corbeau illustration
  • 4 Lillie's Determination
  • 2 Dawn
  • 2 Hilda
  • 2 Judge
  • 1 Team Rocket's Petrel
  • 4 Poké Pad
  • 4 Ultra Ball
  • 2 Energy Retrieval
  • 2 Energy Search
  • 2 Mega Signal
  • 2 Pokégear 3.0
  • 2 Rare Candy
  • 2 Special Red Card
  • 2 Switch
  • 2 Air Balloon

Pokedex Challenge, Coded Yellow and MarketCG say the booster is from Pitch Black, the set released on July 17, 2026. The official page only says "booster pack."

The core of the box is the four copies of three cards: Lillie's Determination shuffles your hand into your deck and draws 6 cards (8 if you still have exactly 6 Prize cards); Poké Pad searches for any Pokémon without a Rule Box; Ultra Ball searches for any Pokémon. Together with Boss's Orders, which brings one of the opponent's Benched Pokémon into the Active Spot, that is four complete playsets of cards that fit practically any list.

Why Meowth ex is the most important card

Meowth ex (Perfect Order 062) is a 170-HP Colorless Basic Pokémon. Its Last-Ditch Catch Ability triggers when you play it from your hand onto your Bench: it searches your deck for a Supporter and puts it into your hand. Its Tuck Tail attack deals 60 damage and returns Meowth ex to your hand with everything attached — which lets you use the Ability again on another turn.

In March 2026, player Ellis Longhurst, writing on the official Pokémon site, named Meowth ex among the five standout cards of Perfect Order and compared its Ability to those of Lumineon V and Tapu Lele-GX, which also searched for Supporters. She pointed out two weaknesses: Team Rocket's Watchtower shuts off the Ability, and Meowth ex gives up two Prize cards when Knocked Out.

The card is already at the top of the meta. At the Nice Regional in France on October 17, 2026 (2,336 players), Limitless TCG shows Meowth ex in the list of the winner, Luc Gantner of Switzerland (Ogerpon/Clefairy), and in seven other lists among the top 13. In total, Limitless records the card in 2,920 open tournament decklists and 9,546 Japanese City League decklists.

How much do these cards cost as singles?

Adding up all 40 cards at TCGplayer market price (US, in dollars, normal version; Meowth ex in holo), as passed on by the TCGdex API and updated on October 14, 2026, the total comes to US$ 13.56, without the booster and without shipping. The cards that weigh the most:

  • Hilda (White Flare 084) — US$ 1.33 each; US$ 2.66 for two
  • Meowth ex (Perfect Order 062) — US$ 2.17
  • Lillie's Determination (Mega Evolution 119) — US$ 0.33 each; US$ 1.32 for four
  • Poké Pad (Perfect Order 081) — US$ 0.31 each; US$ 1.24 for four
  • Boss's Orders (Mega Evolution 114) — US$ 0.29 each; US$ 1.16 for four
  • Ultra Ball (Mega Evolution 131) — US$ 0.21 each; US$ 0.84 for four

The other 11 cards cost between US$ 0.10 and US$ 0.33 each. Sources diverge on Meowth ex: the card's Limitless TCG page shows US$ 1.79 on TCGplayer (undated). On Cardmarket (Europe), the trend price on October 21 was € 4.93.

One detail: only Meowth ex (062/088) has a confirmed printing. For the Trainers, we used the most recent regular version of each card as a reference; the copies in the box may come from another set. All versions checked carry regulation mark I or J. The 2026 rotation, which took effect at tournaments on April 10, removed only the G mark; the 2027 rotation has not been announced yet.

Is the Deck Crafter's Collection coming to Brazil?

As of October 22, 2026, we found no announcement for Brazil. The pokemon.com/br news between September 30 and October 21 does not mention the product, and The Pokémon Company's Portuguese-language press calendar lists only Mega Evolution—Delta Reign (November 6) for October and November. Pokedex Challenge also warns that the US$ 9.99 price applies to the US and should not be assumed in other markets.

What changes for buyers, sellers and collectors

  • Players getting into competitive play: the box covers a Standard deck's basic Trainers in one go. If you already own these cards, it offers little beyond Meowth ex and the booster.
  • Players in Brazil: with no confirmed local release, the choice is importing the box or buying singles. First, check who lists Meowth ex and Lillie's Determination on Collector Union.
  • Sellers: with a US$ 9.99 box bringing 4 copies of each staple, buyers will tend to compare. List with the English name, set and number (e.g. "Poké Pad POR 081") to show up in searches.
  • Collectors: the draw is the foil Meowth ex and the booster. The 39 Trainer cards are not rare versions.
  • Tournament players: build and check your list with the deck validator before registering, and follow the meta in our Recife Regional analysis.

Our take

This section is opinion, based on the facts above.

For anyone who needs the cards, the Deck Crafter's Collection is a good deal at the suggested price: US$ 13.56 in singles for US$ 9.99, plus a booster and without the cost of gathering 17 different cards from several sellers. The real advantage lies less in market value and more in convenience — US$ 0.20 cards get expensive when each one comes with shipping.

Meowth ex is what keeps the box from being just a bag of commons: it is a card being played at the top of the meta this month and carries the J mark, the newest in circulation. For players in Brazil, though, import costs and the exchange rate can eat up the difference. In that case, buying only the singles your deck is missing tends to be cheaper.

Sellers of common Trainers should expect more supply of these 16 cards over the coming months as the boxes get opened — but that is our reading, not data.
